Small Machine Tool Probe, Great Requirements When Choosing!

The accuracy of machine tools has always been a major factor in the unremitting pursuit of all machine tool industries. In addition to relying on their own materials and high-quality processes, CNC machine tools can also use machine tool probes to improve the machining accuracy of machine tools. In order to make good use of the machine tool probe, it is necessary to select the appropriate machine tool probe needle to ensure that the machine tool probe plays its accurate, precise and efficient measurement function. Therefore, the selection of machine tool probe needle is very important.

1. According to the processing material to select the machine tool probe needles

The corresponding machine tool probe needle is selected according to the different processing materials. For example, when we measure hard workpieces, we can choose stainless steel or tungsten carbide probes with better rigidity to ensure that machine tool probe probes do not bend or bend to a minimum in detection measurement. For example, when measuring some specific material processing parts, we should always pay attention to avoid the adhesion wear between the machine tool probe needle and the corresponding material. When measuring the processing parts of aluminum or cast iron materials, if the ruby machine tool probe is selected, the adhesive wear on the probe ball will occur, resulting in inaccurate measurement.

2. According to the measuring accuracy to select the machine tool probe needles

According to the measurement accuracy requirements that manufacturers need to achieve, machine touch probe needle is selected. In general, the shorter the measuring rod, the larger the diameter of the measuring ball or the fewer the number of needle components is, the higher the measurement accuracy of the machine tool probe is. Because the longer the measuring rod of the machine tool probe needle is, the more prone to bending or deformation, which will affect the measurement and detection results of the machine tool probe. The larger the diameter of the measuring ball is, the less the collision of the measuring rod in the contact measurement can be reduced, so as to reduce the false triggering, and the influence of the corresponding surface roughness of the workpiece on the measurement accuracy can be effectively reduced. The reason for choosing fewer probe components is that when the number of probe components increases, there will be an additional connection point on the probe. The more the connection point is, the more likely it will lead to bending of the probe rod. At the same time, too many components will lead to excessive length and weight of the machine tool probe, which will affect the measurement accuracy of the machine tool probe.

3. According to the machine tool vibratio to select the machine tool probe needles

Finally, the appropriate measuring needle should be selected according to the actual vibration of the machine equipment that needs to install the probe. In many cases, the selector does not consider these, which will often lead to the CNC machine tool because of excessive vibration, resulting in the collision of the machine tool probe, which is easy to collide or break the rod, affecting the measurement results of the machine tool probe. Under normal circumstances if the machine tool probe is used in CNC machine tools with large vibration, the carbon fiber probe with high quality and strong vibration resistance should be selected, rather than the ceramic rod probe with poor vibration resistance.
